An Apology

I of course didn't mean to Boo Yah the amazing reply we got from the wonderful and highly talented Julian Rhind-Tutt.

A signed photo and a short comment on my tratitorous misgivings is of course just as good as the two-page letter I recieved from Stephen Mangan this morning.

My postman has never been more loved...

So great post this morning, both myself and Stacie got letters (not photo's Boo Yah JRT*) off the wonderful Stephen Mangan.

Ha, and they laughed at us when we wrote off our little fan girly letters, we hoped for responses, and so far we have got two.... only 14 to go!Lol!

Good responses too, although SM did tell us two secrets, never before have i felt so burdened, and so grateful that he felt he could share!Lol!

Brighton was fun, and Green Wing Cocktails are severley recommended as a fuity beverage to see your wait through to the final episode of Green Wing which will air on............ **

Nothing really interesting has happened* but worried about the lack of blogging I shall leave you with this.

Sin City in HD = amazing!

*Apart from of course Rachel stayed at mine but I told her that she had to blog about that.

EDIT: Oh yes just when you think blogging can't get any more exciting the Tesco's delivery man bared a uncanny resemblance to Nick Frost. What made it worse was I was collecting the shopping in my pj's at 1 o'clock in the afternoon, staring at him trying to figure out who he reminded me of.
But all was made well again when I was putting the shopping away in the fridge and I found a can of Mountain Dew I forgot I had put in there. And curiosity got the better of me and I have joined the Green Wing stamping LiveJournal community.

Soundtrack of my life

While Rachel is staying and we're* off blog, here is something to keep you amused.
Here's how it works:
Open your music player (iTunes, Winamp, Media Player, etc). Put it on shuffle. Press play. For every question type the song that's playing. When you go to a new question press the next button. Some songs fit perfectly.

Opening Credits: You Found Me - Kelly Clarkson
Waking Up: The Blowers Daughter - Damien Rice
Falling in Love: What's Hideous - Do Me Bad Things
Fight scene: Homage To Patagonia - Lemon Jelly
Breaking up: Relax Relapse - Panic! At The Disco
Getting back together: Filthy/Gorgeous - Scissor Sisters
Secret Love: Banana Pancakes - Jack Johnson
Life's okay: Mardy Bum - Arctic Monkeys
Mental breakdown: Faster Kill Pussycat - Paul Oakenfold
Partying: Hung Up - Madonna
Long night alone: They - Jem
Final Battle: No Cars Go - Arcade Fire
Death Scene: Waterloo Sunset - The Kinks
Credits: Ever Fallen In Love (With Someone You Shouldn't've) - The Buzzcocks

*First thing Rachel did when she got here was criticize my post and then i called her a pendant :/

Bad with the good wordage am i ...

What happens when your friends are arguing, and there is not actually anything you could do to ease their situation? I'm not Xander, i'm not great with the talking and the speech giving. I'm more Prof. Frink or Yoda (not quite as brainy or wise though) when it comes to speaking out loud.

Thats why i like the internet, because you can just sit and type and let all the words come out the end of your fingers. You don't really have to worry about the consequences of those words because you can't see the reaction it gets. You can sit and blame someone else for all your problems, and the fact that you can't get off your arse and do something and it'll all be ok. Because it's not saying it to a person's face. It's just writing, and they'll understand.

Thats part of the internets downfall, because all this can happen. And no-one would ever know.

I'm guilty of this, well not recently, and not to my knowledge anyway if i have done it recently, but when you see it happen, in front of your eyes, you kind of have to wonder what people are thinking. Whether they took the time to sit back, if they would actually say all this to someones face. Whether they even care what the person it is directed at is thinking. I often want to reply to peoples messages online with what i'm actually thinking. But then i stop, and i realise that actually in ten minutes time it won't matter. And it really should be left alone.

Especially in situations like this, when it really is faaack all to do with me.

On a plus point LFACC rocked, caught a glimpse of Nathan Fillion, and that has made my year.

And its only a few days til Brighton*

A rather rantful post

Having realised that Rachel is coming to stay a week today i decided that i should probably book our cinema tickets. We both decided on going to see Superman Returns and as it comes out the day Rachel arrives we both decided it'd be wise to book our tickets. Now i've become a bit lazy as of late and hardly ever go to the cinema. The last time i went was at Emma's and our tickets were 2 for 1 and the time before that i went with my family so my dad paid. So i was quite shocked to see an adult ticket cost £6.50. Times that by two and add a booking fee of £1.30 and you get almost £15 just for two people to go see a film. Is it any wonder so many people are turning to illegally downloading films?

Another subject i've been pondering of late is MySpace. The whole point of MySpace is to keep in touch with friends and make new ones. About a week ago an old friend sent me a friend request, i accepted immediately and went over to her profile to leave her a comment asking how she was doing. She responded and we have been catching up. On her profile i saw another old friend had a profile so i went and added them. The other day i was looking through my friends list for someone and saw that they had added me and just never bothered to comment me. Is it quite sad that i found this rude? Anyway at some point i should comment her and try and catch up seeing as im going to University in her area and i'd like to point this out before i awkardly bump into her.My friends list is also getting to a stupid length as of lately so maybe i should take my own advice and talk to people who have added me. I think im just going to go through and delete a lot of them instead.

Work this weekend im sure is going to be as fun as last weekend i.e. not at all. It seems from last week im meant to be in two places at the same time and have more than one pair of hands and when i end up letting someone down they bitch about me behind my back. I understand how pathetic this sounds and was very tempted to tell the women in their late 40's how pathetic they are for bitching about a nineteen yo. I seriously think i have the mind of an old women, if i acted my age i would be going out every weekend night getting stupidly drunk and joining in the bitching at work but instead i look down my nose at it. Anyway the whole point of this part of the rant is im going to have a word with my manager tomorrow and see if this helps at all. At least i can look forward to the following weekend when im not working hooray!

I don't know when my next post will be. My life isn't very exciting at the moment and ill be busy next week. It's my younger sisters 16th birthday on Tuesday and the rest of the week i need to get on with some serious cleaning for Rachel's arrival, oh yes not to mention we are getting Sky+ HD installed on Monday, score!
